Baby stowage!

Hi, we have booked the tickets and intend on travelling down to the Alps for a couple of weeks to watch the Tour and generally relax. Our only quandry is what to do with the baby, she will be 7 months old. Has anyone got any recommendations for where she can sleep. The best idea we can come up with is a travel cot with side zips up in the poptop so that we can just slide her in or out. Just wondering if anyone has any wildly different ideas that we hadn't thought of. We will be doing a test run at Easter time.
All ideas will be gratefully received and duly considered.
Just so you know it is a Autohomes Kamper and has a buddyseat which I would not be completely against taking out.

This subject has cropped up several times. Try using the 'Advanced search' facility at the top right hand side of the page

The Fernster has been in our pop top for ages now - she's 17 months and her first trip was when she was 12 days old.

At 7 months (i think) we had her in a samsonite pop up cot (this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Samsonite-Travel- ... 4a9d8bc800) but she soon grew out of that.

Now, and for the next four years at least, she will be in the pop top as is but with a bed guard sawn down and screwed into the poptop base like this:

This simply lifts up and clicks into place providing a netting screen ensuring she cannot fall out (and believe me, without it she would have fallen out many times!).

It wasnt that hard to adapt - all i needed was a hacksaw and a drill.

Enjoy,

Ringo

The bed side guard is a brilliant idea Ringo, and one that I might just brazenly steal and claim as my own if anyone asks

Only kidding, but I think the travel cot in the poptop is perfect(ish)! And is the one I am keen to follow.

Thanks for the help and happy camping. :ok
