Need a little help from some of you experts.
Have to install my christmas present ie Kenwood radio.
Removed old radio and now have the following wires to connect to new toy.
Speaker wires, I know where they go, 2 brown wires that went to one terminal on the old radio and 2 red wires that went to another terminal.
I have to connect these 4 wires to the following terminals on the new radio Battery, Power Control, Ignition (ACC), Earth.
Which goes where?

Most likely the 2 Browns are both Earth and one of the red is ignition and one is battery. Best way to check is get a circuit tester (or make one with a bit of wire and a bulb) find a good earth on the body. One of the reds should be permenantly live and one only live with the ignition on.

When you have found a good live use the circuit tester to then check the two brown wires for earthing.

Power control is more than likely used by the stereo to remotely switch an external amplifier of automatic aerial so you shouldn't need to worry about that one just now.
As 72BUG says, you will need a meter to tell whats what with the existing cables as it's probably not standard if you have 2 wires of each colour.

I'd wire to a leisure supply so llways available and will not drain your start battery if left for ages

Can't get someone else to do it. To me that is admitting defeat. I will ask questions, consider the options, make a choice and if I get it wrong then it's nobody's fault but mine but I will learn.

Ok well good luck, I know how to do it but I may explain it wrong so I'll let someone else tell you. But as someone else has said best to run it from the lesure battery if you have one then you can leave it on all day while your parked up without any worries.

Nearly sorted but would welcome your thoughts tinman.
Wires are probably as 72bug says but haven't had chance to meter them.
I will have to replace the ISO connector with 'Lucar' terminals cos the 'lucars' will touch each other if inserted in the back of the ISO
