Has anyone fitted a motorbike carrier to the rear of their T25? My bike weighs 134kg. My camper is lowered 50mm and has new shocks.

It wouldn't be used very often as it will only be a bit of green laning once in a while.

Would ythis be silly and should I get a trailer instead?

Hi i fitted a scooter rack to the back of mine, took the other halfs 125cc bike with us on trips, my van is dropped about 50mm also with shocks and springs (pics are in the garage) never had any issues sat at 60mph on the Mway no probs after few min forgot it was on the back ?
was so good taken the bike away, if she gets one again will defo be using the rack more !!

Thanks for the info. Where did you get the carrier and how mych was it?

Got it from Ebay, its SCOOTRACK one not sure there still tradding but check out this site (http://www.pwsacc.co.uk/scooter-racks.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) there is a few on there, i only paid £100 for mine but know they go for alot more, found this one on ebay 160389626189 (ebay no.)

I you are looking for a good quality rack then I can recommend the Kliponoff one. I have had one for a few years and it has been used on all manner of things including a Mondeo estate and a lot on a T4. Fantastic quality, much better than anything else I have ever seen. Not sure about the rack on the back of a T3, however, I have only just got one (T3) and will certainly give the rack a go.

That amount of weight over the back will lift the weight over your front wheels On the west towbar (which is very solid) says max 75kg your nearly double that!!!! Why not get a trailer?

I Just had a look at the weight of the scooter we took with us, It was a piaggio liberty 125 dry weight 99.0 kg (218.3 pounds)
The type of rack i use bolts onto to where you would bolt the toe bar onto, ive seen other ones that clip onto the toe bar (know thay dont hold as much weight) I can only go with what ive done in the past, i drove from Woking to Alton towers (few other trips but that was longest) brakes and stering were fine also did not make any difference to speed or pull, We did plan on taken it round Italy but trip got cancled.

I think the weight of that bike is just a tad too heavy for a rack. You also have to think about getting it on the thing i the first place!

What bikes that are good for green laning weigh under 100Kgs? I want one.

Hmm - not sure i'd like to reverse with the bike on that. Is it legal?

it would reverse fine , as long as its not for miles , legal ? as long as you put a light board on ?
I'm still looking and the best thing i can come up with is a single folding bike trailer

£325 is a lot but your probably looking at £200 at least for parts from towsure...
