Hi,

I have a 1Y on the way to me which will be used to replace a 1.6D.

Have read the Brick-Yard description re diesel upgrades.

I am presuming I need the ECU etc. Has anyone got any specif knowledge/information re this conversion ?

No ECU needed just break off the black box on the injection pump.Underneath it is the fuel solonoid valve then connect to the on off ignition wire that was fitted to the 1.6 injection pump.I no it works as i fitted a 1y as a replacement for a 1.6.
