my new fresh aaz 1.9td is in at last.
i am using aaz inlet and exhaust manifold with aaz turbo.
i have had a twin exit exhaust made up so that is sorted but i need to know which air intake to use.
i was thinking of a k&n cone style to keep it simple, has any one done this
also what to do with the aaz spare breather off the rocker cover.
one more thing i could do with a wiring diagram for all the wires that go on to the engine.
once i have sorted these few little bits out i am ready to fire her up please help

I used the K&N cone filter for a year and its noisy - and not cheap unless you get a bargain. I have now inserted the old filter into the gap behind the light cluster and its a lot quieter.

For the spare breather, i attached a pipe with a mini cone filter on one end and it acts as a vent to atmosphere. Its does leak oil occasionally but its the simplest solution if you dont know what your doing and want to get the engine going ASAP. There are various other solutions - but i dont know enough to comment.

How many wires have you got? There arent many. They generally fit in the same place that they came off the old engine....

i took old engine out about 8 months ago and since forgot where wires go
i have thick red with eye which has to be for glow plugs
thick red with spade
all the rest are thin wires
blue /black
blue / white
yellow
red yellow
black
also a red / black and a blue which goes close to alternater

hi i think i have sorted my wires but could anyone confirm for me.

yellow =oil pressure switch f1 , grey switch by the oil filter housing

blue black = oil pressure switch f22 , blue switch on back of head

red yellow = g2 ,coolant temp sender , alloy housing at back of head

blue white = sensor for glow plug , g27 , alloy housing on top of head

also i have a blue wire to alternator with a red and black along side , do both of these connect to the same point on the alternator.

only a few wires i know but i can not seem to find much info of where they go and as my loom had been chopped and cut around a bit it does not give me any clue of where they go
