T25 seats

I have a 1980 van with swivel seats in the front and was hoping to have them reupholstered. Unfortunately my local trimmer has told me that they are almost beyond repair with VERY badly rusted springs and frames. Has anyone used seats from other vans that can be converted easily? Please note that I am in New Zealand so choices are generally limited to japanese vans. Alternatively - does anyone supply springs for seats as they are very time consuming (and therefore expensive) to make.
In hopeful anticipation of a positive reply!

P.S - My January camping trip to Golden Bay is looking seriously in danger of becoming a 'tent' trip!

In my experience. jap seats are generally good candidates. You want seats from a 4-door rather than a 2-door as the latter will flip forward. Generally speaking its a case of removing runners and swivel from your own and welding on to the base of prospective new ones. Just take some measurements of existing runners and ensure you'd have someing to weld to. Incidently 2-door jap seats are great replacements for bugs - fitted loads of Datsin seats in those over the years.
