Plumbing in water pipes for vaporiser on a 2.1

Had a search on here, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I was just wondering which way round people have plumbed their vaporisers in to the heater circuit on their 2.1 engines, i.e water inlet/outlet on vaporiser to inlet/outlet side of the heater circuit.
Otherwise, does anyone have any suggestions for alternative ways to plumb the vaporiser in, perhaps to a different set of coolant pipes?
