Can anyone recommend a good tyre choice for my T25 1.6 td Westy? I have maxmiler tyres fitted to the front and I am looking to change them as I not happy with there grip in the wet. The van is on standard steel rims.

i found most 8 ply 185 van tyres are pants in the wet.
whack a set of alloys on it with proper rated tyres and it will grip a damn sight better!!

standard rims (14") have .. 185/80 X 14C tyres
Goodyear cargo G28 £62.90 fitted
Toyo Tires H08 £56.10 fitted
Price includes mobile fitting, new valve, electronic balancing & environmental tyre disposal. No hidden extras.
personally I'd stay clear of "economy brands" for the very reason you state.

Hi,
I have always used Goodyear tyres on my t25 and have never worn them out. I usually replace them because I have had them so long. I have also used them on my estate car and they give me good mileage.
KwikFits are offering Goodyear Cargo tyres at the moment for £55. If you argue you might even beat them down. Their offer price is not usually their best price.

Maxxis Light Truck 185R14 mud & snows worked very well for me. 8PR, High load rating 102, and very little wear evident after 10000km
