Just about to start putting the interior back together , it mainly came in cardboard boxes when I bought the van! and never having seen inside a camper van before I bought her Im not sure where best to locate it.
Im kinda thinking in the top cupboard that is part of the rear wardrobe area, that way its in the middle from where the 240v hook up comes in ( offside rear ) and the kitchen, fridge units.
Where would you guys and girls recomend? where would it have been originaly? It is a Holdsworth hi top conversion, also where would the ligh switch pannel go, This is the original one with Richard Holdsworth printed on it, I am thinking it may be nice to re use it unless you all recon a newer more modern control panel is available? Any picsof zig units in place would help greatly.

There are many different types of control panel but the Zig works reasonably well as an interface control panel. dont know the Holdsworth conversion but many zigs live on the drivers side on the side of the wardrobe so that if stood looking through the van windscreen it would face you. Sometimes they are on the a overhead locker that face inwards to the vehicle, again usually the drivers side.
Depends on how sophisticated your vehicle is going to be as to whether you upgrade it. We find it fine for our needs

Thank you Richard for taking the trouble to reply, I think I will put it where you suggest on the rear wardrobe facing the front.

Glad to have been of help. There are some zig manuals in the wiki if yours has parted company from the van. I have found the best upgrade to a zig is a larger ampage battery charger/power supply which I will do soon, have the power supply just flat out and no time to fit it.

Autohomes put them above the sink/cooker unit. The wardrobe seems more usual though........
