From whence does this emanate - back, front, above, below, or your mouth (click Ah! that was a satisfying gearchange)
Is it a snick or a click?
Is it loud or soft?
Is it really worrying (sounds better than a graunch to me)?

hey - is it the five speed box....?
Mine does it too...seems to be underneath the gear stick? I put it down to a spring or something coming through the gate - where you dog leg from first to second.
Doesn't do it in my four speed.

The clicking seems to be comming from the gearstick when you change up into second, it also jumps out of 2'nd when you change down , by the way it is a 5 speed box.
Hope this helps.
