more layout opinions please

I'm committed to the full width bed now as I managed to pickup a multivan bench for my conversion. This easily accommodates the 3 kids car seats so thats something I can cross off the list. Anyway, I was just going to keep the engine bay mattress full width but I noticed some westy layouts had a full width bench with a wardrobe and overhead locker in the back. Storage is going to be tight in our van even with the hightop so I'm thinking, is it worth sacrificing a chunk of the full width bed in exchange for the extra storage space a wardrobe can offer? There will be five of us camping in the van next year - 2 small children and a baby. Opinions please....

If you sleep with feet to rear and can live without looking out back window, you could make a bigger/lower full width cabinet attached to top/sides about 30-40cm off of bed with doors on front and in back with hatch open. Lots of storage that way.

We have westy with the full width r&r and cabinet in back. The 3/4 bed width is about 42" (so quite narrow) and the extra width of full r&r seat is wasted. If you want the width for sleeping I wouldn't suggest the side cabinet.

I agree with Lloyd. our Westie has 3/4 bed in back but full width bench seat. it really adds no advantage and there is plenty of room for the two of us to sleep comfortably with the 3/4 layout.

cheers guys. I made my mind up - gonna stick with the full size bed. No wardrobe. Kitchen block on the side. Overhead locker in the back. Will post photos when its done.
