Seeing as you only have rot on the insides.........why? Is the water seeping into the doors? Or is it from the inside of the bus? Look under the floor mats.....heavy water ingress can be due to the windscreen and water running down inside the pillars. Could just be normal rot that's ony affected the insides - rub back as much as possible on a dry day, treat, primer and paint as quick as the weather/time allow. You'll always find the bottom of the door scrapes as it shuts - if it's scraping too much try adjusting the door hinges slightly to raise the doors......
Cr4p answer, but someone else will come along now and say "nah, she's talking out of her backside"..........

significant rot at the bottom of the doors
rubbers and posts for the quaterlights are completely shot
Could it be related?
I have water coming through the windscreen and I also suspect some is getting in the front door seal. If I don't do something pretty quick I may loose my step.
If it's only in the door and not in the step I would suspect water in the door from the "shot" seals round the glass. Otherwise as Jen said, lift up all the rubber/carpet and have a look see.

just to say probably not worth rebuilding the doors,a good solid door complete is about 25£,can be swapped in 15 minutes inc door cards etc, worst is you may have to paint it depending on colours of each item, what colour is your van?

look around,i usually have a pair, plus any of the shows, even on ebay i have seen them sell for as little as £2 complete.they rarely sell as there are plenty of good ones.i can only keep about 2 pairs, after that they go to the scrap yard whatever condition they are.
