since im in the middle of major job with half engine in bits, and as things keep breaking down one after another since i got van in august and its history being a lil vague im trying to do as much service items as i can so once i put engine back together i can run it as point zero knowing what has been done.
the things im having trouble finding out is quantities for various fluids when doing a full replace of them, in particular
1) how much brake fluid do you need to fully replace brakes/clutch after draining?
2)how much gear oil do i need to fully replace after draining?

after much searching through old posts n wiki, i got all amounts for coolant and normal oil but struggling with these two

if im being really blind and the quantities are listed in haynes, my apologies

thanks for any info passed on :)

I would refresh the brake fluid by pumping the new stuff behind the older stuff ..A litre bottle should do all of it
Gearbox drained then fill up till it overflows.. that's three and a half litres

I know with brakes I just purge all lines until the fluid coming out is clear rather than yellow. Same with clutch line I guess.
