Has anyone got the Fiamma Bi-pot 30 toilet?

I'd been going to get a Thetford Porta Potti 335 but this is cheaper and looks pretty much the same to me. Just wondering if there is a difference in quality? Thanks.

I have. Chose it as it was the shortest, so better able to fit in a box.
Quality is fine. In fact Fiamma boast it is stronger as it has a single piece blown plastic moulding, so no weak seams. I am pleased to say that at 80kgs I have not had to test this!

Excellent. Will order it. Now, can anyone tell me what chemicals I need? There is rinse chemical and waste chemical - do I need one of each of those? Also there is Supa Kem Blue, what's that? Can I use ordinary loo paper? Thanks.

We had the Bi-pot 30. It was fine for about 18 months and then it became very part-time in the flushing dept so we kicked it into touch.

Yeah you need some rinse chemical and some waste tank chemical, but I know others on here use summat else, I'll have a look for the thread.

Interesting thread, what's the cheap Tesco stuff people talk about on it? Is it like Tesco own brand Toilet Duck stuff? Do you put that in the flush bit or the waste bit? Or both?

I never knew a loo could be so confusing. :?

I have got a Bi-Pot 30 and made a buddy seat to fit it in which also raises it higher and provides two drawers for chemicals and bog roll. I find that as you drive around rinse water finds it's way into the toilet. It is not a major problem but it means you will gradually run out of flush water. Also if you pick the top rinse water container up by the handle it leaks, you have to carry it flat. The lower cassette is OK. The pump for the flush seems a bit flimsy, not sure how long that would last. Fiamma recomend you use their Super Rinse in the top tank and Super Kem in the cassette. I also have a caravan fitted with a Thetford casstte toilet so use the same chemicals as that, Thetford Pink Rinse in the top and Green chemical in the cassette, there are loads of different chemicals you can buy for these toilets and some can be used in both tanks. I was in my local caravan dealers last week ant they had three toilets of a similar size around the £45-£50 mark so I would have a look at other alternatives as well as the BI-Pot 30.

Flush mechanism is poor and if you're into wild camping, the waste tank is too small.
