Hi all
I'm a newcommer to t25's. Ive convinced the wife at last that we need a camper in our lives!!
i viewed one the other and it looks superb all round. resprayed and no rust. think owner is an enthusiast. the engine ran well with no smoke or dodgy noises. its a petrol 2ltr and has 96k on the clock. i was just wondering about the lifespan of these engines? am i likely to have to put a new one in in the near future or do they last if they've been looked after.
Basically i'm just worried about forking out for something that doesn't last!
any advice would be great.
thanks
ned

Is it air cooled? or water cooled?

My 1.9 DG has just been replaced at 130,000 with no issues. I Just needed more power.
regular oil changes are very important to the lifespan.
There are many many members on here whose engine has surpassed the 150,000 mark.

it's all about love
have the PO's loved the van enough to take care of the engine?

or not

If he's really loved it that much ask for receipts .... an addicted aircold 25 owner has too many to readily admitt to but will have previous receipts for a set of heat exchangers, distributer, thermal underwear, lip salve  :rofl etc etc

No love no buy, a recent respray isn't what you want to see, a year old respray now that's far more interesting
