oh god..

found huge pool of oil under the van..it was a steady trickle coming from the rear of the engine, not dripping down from the oil strainer, but appears to be dripping down tghe fins from higher up, but obscured by the engine rear mounting bar.
Oil pump? Pressure relief valve or oil seal? The van has had a few problems in tghe past with the base of the oil filler neck...
aggh any helpful ideas?
Thanks

no easy way of sorting oil leaks, need to try and get it clean and re assess. just had probs wth my 2.1 w/c which was crank pully oil seal after fitting 2 gsf seals its still leaking. rubbish parts to blame. baxters seals arrived today so hopefully it`ll be right after these.

rusty push rod tubes with dirty great holes in em is the usual culprit for me...

ok..thanks, the near side have been done this year, and the rods and seals were fine..will it be easy to ascertain whether it is coming from the pushrods on the off side with out having to remove them first?
Thanks
