water tank removal

Hi i own a T25 autohome Komet and i need to remove the water tank from under the double seat. Have tried but am having major problems, is there a easy way? Cheers Dave

It's doable, and I've done it, but not easy. Autohomes put the tank in first and just built everything around it, so you have to start by removing the whole of the side cabinet between the sink cupboard and the wardrobe. Once that's gone it's all obvious, but there's no shortcut to that bit.

For what it's worth I was pleased when it was done because I rebuilt the cupboard much more simply, to make it easier to remove in future. It's been out several times since, with little effort - 10 minute job. Now why didn't they design it like that in the first place?

Talking to Dwayne about these awful tanks at a recent meet as he and I have both removed them from our Autohomes. Sure he said that he removed his without having to remove the side unit. Might be worth sending him a PM and ask how he did his.
