Spare wheel carrier

Can anyone advise me where is the best place to get one from and how much work is invoved in fitting one

dont think you have many options really.
oe vw costa lots second hand.
syncro engineering not cheap but from what i`ve seen they are the dogs.
ortec carriers supported on door not ideal but works.
i have 2 the same as syncro services sell atm. no where near as good as pete`s and take a little fettling to fit but work ok.
if i could have afforded 2 of pete`s carries there the ones i`d have bought.

as pete is off to gambia,the wheel carriers will be being built at syncronutz when we get the next load of parts made! cheers mcgill

I have two of Pete's carriers....very good. If the SyncroNutz ones are as good then they'll be fine.

Theres no reason why the syncro-nutz ones whont be as good since i had an enourmouse amount of input into the desighn and struckture of Petes carriers.

Yr ill be ordering mine off you any way russell just need to get a bit more cash are they still £450 and also do you have to do any thing to strenghten the pillar up to fill the bracket as iv got all the panelling off in my van at the mo

You need no reinorcement fitted it all comes with the hindges.

WE have this week just used the second last one in stock. I do have a left side one left. but when needed we will get all the materials and make some more.
Price is £450 + postage.

They truly are the beez neez!
Considering the time and effort that went into designing and manufacturing them.
TBF you really wouldn't want for any other carrier on the back, they will definately be of the same quality with Syncronutz.
Actually Syncro Pete has developed his carriers on the back of his van a little more for escapade to the Gambia, I'm sure SyncroAndy will pop a photo on!
