Been offered a working petrol ebber B3L for £75 off a guy at work

I haven't a clue about them and it looks like a box mof jumbled crap to me.

Can anyone see from these pictures if it's going to be hard work to sort out

Looks OK wiring wise - the rubber fuel line joints look a bit suspect and will need replacing. It might be worth giving it a decoke before fitting to save having to rip it out soon after fitting to do it. I have only got a dutch and german manual for these, if you need a copy PM me your email addy.

Cheers. can't understand german or dutch so the manuals would be lost on me.

I agree about the fuel lines. bascially I will be looking to restore the ebber to tip top condition before fitting.

Where's a good place for relacing stuff like the fuel lines?

The manuals would give you an idea as to the construction and the wiring diagrams.
The main fuel lines should be ok, just the rubbers will need replacing you might need 4mm or 2mm - depends on what is on there.(+clips)

Now got hold of the B3L 3kw petroleber and the wiring looks fairly sound.

However the unit itself seems a beast. It's 17inches long and weighs 6.5kg and requires 50w of power when running. Should I have any concerns about the load on my auxiliary battery seeing as I run interior lights and a stereo from it too? I suppose at 3kw I'll never be cold

The control switch is a simple on/off wheel with ventilation-off-heat settings.

Comparing it to the spec for a D1LC heater it seems to be twice the weight and needs twice the power of the D1LC
