Right i could do with a bit of help here chaps. Just fitted a recon propex (the red one) it ran fine for a week and now it wont work right. When its turned on with the dial turned to max it starts up the burner kicks in and it runs for about 6 seconds then turns off, but if i turn the dial to half way it kicks in again and runs for 6 seconds again before shutting off again. It was doing it last night but when i turned the dial a bit it started to work ok :?

Its getting on my nerves something rotten as we need the van this weekend for the bonfire bash and could do with the heater working.

Wondered if i could bypass the thermostat some how incase its that. There is a + and - and two other wires going into the unit.

I replaced my thermostat with a "sunvic" from B&Q

that what you describe.. are you sure it's firing up?

reason is mine will run for six seconds and stop if there's no gas

lots of gas, the exhaust is getting warm and it has a brand new leisure battery. How did you wire the b&q one up Kev?

took out the guts of the old propex one... wires and a diode thing, and just transferred it.

took some figuring and a wrong attempt, but got it right in the end.

Is your thermostat Black jed, with led indicators on it?

Yeh, the propex itself lets out a small beep as it turns off too.
