Hi
My camper is 1990 t25 deisel.

I need to change my front wheel bearings as they are knackered. I intend to buy the best bearings possible from a specialist bearing manufacture ( skf etc)

Can anyone tell me the size and specification of the front wheel bearings and not just the vw part number?

many thanks

Bob

As Robert points out...
There are many specialist bearing suppliers out there who will supply quality replacements based on a bearing number.
In other words...you don't have to go to GSF/Euro Car Parts/Volkswagen or any other motor trade parts outlet as most bearings are generic and can be cross referenced in order to supply a suitable quality replacement.
I used to do this all the time when rebuilding motorcycle engine crank shafts that use ball and needle roller bearings.

Anyone knocked out some front wheel bearings recently who can quote numbers?
Martin

I agree that there are many specialist bearing suppliers,
I use them believe me, but a heck of a lot of our bearings are not standard sizes and even with oem part number can't readily be obtained, which is why Simon has spent so much time and effort to get the good ones through whichever channel he can, no sense in reinventing the wheel and well worth supporting the biz that really supports our vehicles and is having parts remanufactured in the uk rather than using china
I know the fag number for syncro front bearings but FAG won't supply them in the uk hence Simon sourcing them from elsewhere for us.
I don't have the 2wd part numbers to hand I'm afraid though.

These are known in the trade as a 'protected part'

Should be able to use the part numbers shown on this listing. LM11949 is generally used as a trailer wheel bearing.

These part numbers look to be for an early van, you'll need a different outer bearing than the one listed
