Gasket paper...yes!
I used to make lots...not a very common thing to do nowadays, suppose it depends on IF you can still buy the proper gasket paper (comes in sheets at varying weights/thicknesses)

The manifold gasket is quite a thick affair
I would try and source some thick card "5mm" and use some sealant

U can get gasket paper (thick) on ebay and i just cut some for DG manifold gaskets, easy to akke a paper stencil eusing thin paper on base of manifold and rub crayon over it to make an exact stencil typeaffair . Tim
