We have just bought our first 2.1 and all seems fine except when accelerate beyond 3000rpm. It suffers loss of power and feels like fuel starvation. initially checked all electrical connections and the air filter not too bad, but lack of experience with fuel injection brings me to a halt.

Misses would like to take van away this weekend but until problem sorted may have to resort to plan b when we have one.

Someone please offer advice and or parts needed to resolve matter.

It can be one of two systems. Ignition or fuel system. Work logically through each one.

Fuel system - try the fuel filter, it may have collapsed inside.
Check all vacumn hoses, tank vents, etc
Ignition system - need more details on the bus. Check the plugs, the leads, the distributor cap, the rotor arm.

Sounds as though it is stuggling under high load, does it cut out completely or does it become ok if you back off?
