Can anyone tell me where to locate the charger for the leisure battery?
Cheers!

I think you said youd bought a Westy? Then is's "probably" under the rear seat, depending on previous owners modifications etc..

Yep did - thanks for the info it looks as if I've bought one without the charger! Looks as if there was one as there are brackets and leads. Also found a second leccy point - which is spot on TBH.
Anyone know where to obtain a charger or is there a better option?

In the Southampton area, have a word with Adrian Cotton at Ace Caravans behind Fishers pond, Phone 08000743339 He should be able to help.

If the electrics have been "adjusted" over the years & you're not sure what's wher, get it in and have everything checked over properly by a qualified auto electrician who is used to working on campers and the like. You may well find the best option is rip it all out and have it redone properly

As for interior light etc, don't fall into the "it's only 12v - it's not dangerous" trap over the leisure circuits, 12v can & does start fires
Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh but it's worth knowing all the electrics are safe and correct; Consumer unit, breakers etc....
Get the gas checked too, you can't be over cautious with 20 year old piping...
thechubbsdub's recommendation is a good place to start, I'd give them a ring in the morning, take it down and see what they say.
Here's to the start of a long and rewarding relationship with your wallet, it'll be worth it in the end though

Mucho gracias to both of you!
I'll be making a few calls in the morning - I'll try the Fishers pond number first then a couple of good mates who are very experienced sparks.
As to my wallet I'm thinking of asking said mates to install an ATM in van!

Gandalf, the bloke at fishers pond knows his stuff on internal electrics, in fact internal anything and bodywork but will not touch engine/mechanics.
