now i know there are loads of questions like this on here and i think i am about there, but... got these



our van already has alloys!!! dunno what type or where they are from, now as rule of thumb i am looking at longer wheel bolts and studs for for the van as far as i can accertain the wheels above are ET37 running 205 60 r15 tyres, have no spec on length of standard studs and bolts to check against what our van is currently running, so help on that would be great, no point in buying new bolts studs if they are already longer than standard, and one final question drilling the alloys from m12 to accept m14 bolts and studs can anyone offer any advise.. dont want to ruin a perfectly good set of wheels....

To do it properly, a large pillar drill would be needed, to keep everything perfectly true, centre the drill and drill at the right speed.

If you are thinking of doing this yourself, the correct clearance size is probably over 14mm and that sort of thing won't fit in most chucks, so you'd need a Blacksmith's drill (reduced shank)... 9/16" is one thou larger than 14mm - not enough I'd say.
even then, I'd think twice about using a power tool for this, I'm sure it's been done, but I'd maybe try an expanding reamer rather than drill it this way.

No spacers, just fitted straight on, but i did get them from syncropete, so contact him re the drilling out cos i've no idea. They are well smart but look a bit sissy on a syncro!

hey i purchased a set of 4 of these from ebay a few months ago. Merc SLK standard alloys. Theres loads of them and they are cheap because a lot of merc drivers seem to go for upgrades on the wheels when they buy a car.

They are aluminium coated with laquer.

My set set me back £46 with fairly worn Mich. Pilot tyres on them. They have no scrapes or scratches, the laquer has started to bubble in places though ~ water getting behind it. So next month when i spray the van, im going to remove the existing laquer with paint stripped. And give them a fresh coat// perhaps even spray them coloured (undecided about that yet).

Havent yet ordered bolts studs or spaces yet. Although www.sjbaxter.co.uk / brickwerks site has decent prices on the lot so might order from him. i think 10mm spaces should do the job on the front? any ideas

they should just bolt straight on, well after you have had them machined just got my wheels back from machining, gonna bolt em up at the weekend, i will let you know how they fit
