fridge vent

when i got my van we wernt going to use the fridge but we have been given a westy kitchen unit
we have covered up the out side hole for the vent is there any other way of venting the fridge without cutting a gole in the side of the van again

Do you mean venting the gas exhaust fumes or venting the heat exchanger? The gas exhaust HAS to vent to outside so that will require a hole, but you can vent the heat exchanger into the van itself. I believe westfalias also have a small fan to assist this.

it`s the fumes can i vent it down through the bottom of the van

hot deadly gas rises.
It HAS to be vented up.
sorry mate but you sound a bit naive on this and messing with killer gas is serious

OMG!
I asked the same question on here once!
Because I intended moving the fridge at a later date.
Your gonna get told off big time
You have to have an external vent for the exhaust fumes from the fridge and you have to go up, but if you colour code the vent it really doesn't show that much.
I haven't moved my fridge yet so haven't used it on the gas I find that if I cool it down with a 2 litre bottle of ice and run it on 240 for a couple of nights before I go away and put in a couple of ice packs its a very good coolbox and lasts all weekend no problem!!
