I'm solenoid!!!

The starter wasn't kicking in. Tha battery, ignition switch and relay all seemed fine so I thought I would check the starter. I checked the connections on the back of the solenoid and where the main feeds are connected to the stud on the back were loose. So it thought it would take the nut off and give it a clean. As I started to undo it the tip of the stud sheared off but still left a enough to get the connector back of but not a new nut.

I thought maybe I could get a new solenoid but I'm unable to undo the star shape bolts. My question is can I use a smaller connector on the main feed or will it cook?

a smaller connector wont hadle the power many times, however, a good har-hardware sh-shop will quite possibly have a stud extender? like a nut with a bolt welded in it that you screw onto what you have and it gives you a new stud length
