Lovely, shame it's a petrol.
Only thing I would be tempted to swap my Atlantic for, a Syncro Atlantic with Aircon..
Not exactly tripping over those are we! 14 or so syncro Atlantics ever built!
Mind you, only 950 Atlantics, they aren't exactly everywhere either.

See, I don't need aircon ...I've got front difflocks so I don't break into a sweat
(no American spec Syncro was ever fitted with front difflocks ex works. VW engineers had no trust in the intelligence of the average American driver and VW lawyers had every faith in American lawyers to sue the shirts off their backs after the first Syncro had driven straight of the road with front difflocks engaged

)

Mmm.. I wonder how they managed to reg it... the MV was never officially imported to France so VW will not issue a certificate of conformity (cant register it without).. the only option is to have a rather expensive test performed that invariably older vehicles cannot pass.. unless its had a DJ ftted..

Please excuse my ignorance but in this case what's a "DJ"?

It's the engine code for the european version of the 2.1 liter wbx.

Thought it might be the engine code but didn't want to make a wild guess, so its not the vehicle that the problem but the engine?

Simon had difficulties importing his Syncro into France when he lived there as the French can be very particular about 'red tape'. Basically if it isnt standard spec you will have difficulties.
Is that right Simon?
