Anyone know why the prices of these vary so much ? The "Campershop" do them at £165 while others are well over two hundred.
Are the cheaper ones a cheaper ,tackier version made by unfortunates in the third world or summat?
Seems odd to me.
Outhouse Xl Handi,at £69 as opposed to £229 and the supplier says its because they are excess stock,these dont look good enough to me but as a comparrison they are supposedly £228 regular price......seems a bit too good to believe.
Advice from you lot in the know please as I need an awning.

very good awning, 3 simple poles and attach to your van with the included pole & clips.

Had an inner tent with mine aswell

Which Royal Traveller awning are you referring to, the ''little house'' type or the ''tunnel'' type? The ''little house'' type are easier to erect. This question would be better posted in ''Camping''.

i got the wendy house type from e bay £100, brilliant awning, wont go anywhere in the wind. bit too much for me to put up on my own, although i have done it , lots.

got the new outlaw drive away. (campershop)
good value with loads of room(1 or 2 bedrooms)
sun canopy and tunnel to van.
comes with clips and poles/ saves some space as it fits sideways onto van

Here is ours from campershop. Was less than the current price but at £165 that is still very good. We picked it up from there shop as it is not far away and they were very helpful people. We debated on this one or the outlaw but decided on the traveller. Both great awnings though. And well made in my opinion. Used ours lots.

First time is fun but once you have done it the next time is a doddle. Can do it in 20 mins nowadays. The bag it comes in is great too. Not a zip type more of a sack type with toggle at top. Packs in very easy.

And is yours fitted to a proper awning channel on the van as it doesn't appear to have clamps or owt on it.

We have the Traveller too...with a little help from my wife i can get it up in about 10 minutes

again use the figure 8 channel as i found the clamp/pole set up a bit fiddly

Good question.

Due to our hightop taking up much of the space in the roof gutters we chose to fit a 3 metre metal awning rail to the hightop and use the kador strip and figure of eights to attach. If your gutters are deep then you can use figure of eights directly onto them however I believe the black gutter trim may make it difficult to attach them. Im sure someone can confirm this??

Have heard mixed reviews on the pole and clamps supplied and also the suction type that are available.
