Van won't start. Did start first thing in morning, then switched off for ten minutes to pack. Now won't start. Have been unable to remove filter from housing so took off housing and emptied fuel from filter. Some gunk in nuts attached to filter. removed gunk refilled filter and tried again. No joy. removed fuel hose from clips and laid it down, and fuel was coming out so no block in pipe. No fuel travelling through see through pipe from filter to pump at all. any body have any ideas? If pump removal required any tips. Looks a git to get off
Cheers ears

Air in the system, may be a sod to find but I'd be starting with the fuel filter primer pump...

There is a bleed screw ontop of the Fuel filter, open that and crank a few times. The Primmer pump Fritz is refering to is.--You aint got one, Not fitted on VW engines (Not your model anyway)
You need to crack open the injector pipes until fuel p*sses out then tighten up individually, But if was running before hand y not now??????. Have you checked ignition wire that operates the fuel shut off solenoid. If this has come off or broken it wont allow fuel into the injectors, Hence wont start.
