I was registered on here before as just will but i cant get in now so ive reregistered under my bisseness name, I mainly build air cooled vws but also do fabrication and mobile repairs for a lot of local farms.

My syncro pick up is just about to see the light of day again after having a new set of bearings in the front diff and the difflock freed off. The rear is still seiezed up but all in good time :D

Does any one know how much machining is needed to get T4 15" steel rims to fit as ive a set and a set of 195/75/15 colway ctrax MT tyres to go on them :D
I want to get the rims to fit before i put the tyres on them.

Laters all Will.

The center holes in the t4 rims are 57mm (I think) and has to be bored out to at least 66.67mm. 66mm might do but don't quote me on that.

I had mine taken out to 68mm just to be sure. They fit fine.

it's the front that don't fit, but you will need all 4 done if you are going to rotate the wheels from hub to hub every 3000 miles or the rears won't fit the front.

Mine were £15 each to machine.

Supposed yo be quite good in bigger sizes so would be interested in what they are like in 185.. But you might want to find a set of Merc rims.. Et 31 or Et 37 go right on.. ok so they can bend easy if "clunked" (Ive done 2...) but are cheap....

You say you are near me?? where? want to meet? fill out a location in your profile too..
