I am trying to view a van in Tewkesbury this week to buy but can't get anyone who is available to cone along for a second opinion, does anyone know of a garage in the area who could offer a once over to make sure I'm not buying a nightmare??

Sorry no but you can always book an AA/Rac inspection or go to a local independant garage and ask if they will do it, I used to charge 'i/2 - 1 hours labour, alternatively the local independant may know a small VW specialist who can give you an opinion.

I had a look at my RAC info and it said they won't check vehicles over 8 years.. Do they offer another inspection for older vehicles? Thanks

I had no idea the RAC had a age limit. AA certainly dont cos I had them inspect a vintage Porsche about 12 years ago.

No, both don't offer inspections for vehicles over a certain age - AA is up to 15 years old so I can't use them...
