Autosleeper Water Tank not working!

Could somebody please tell me how the water system works. I can't find a pump, is it inside the tank? Can they be replaced (and if so where from), because ours doesn't work? Alternatively, has anyone used the tap with the internal pump sold by Just Kampers - do you think this could be rigged up to work? :?

I have an '86 autosleeper my water pump is in the cupboard where the gas is kept (next to the seat/bed) it's orange/red in colour.
I have my pump on all the time and use the tap to control the flow. The fuse is clearly marked on the control panel

You will either find a submersible one (usually 'Whale' branded) in the tank or one inside a cupboard somewhere - not too expensive to replace.

You will either have a control switch, tap-triggered switch or a floor mounted push switch.

If you're fitting a new pump - change all your waterpipe for Blue coloured rather than clear (if it is the clear type) as you will get less nasties coming from your tap!

You may have to prime it as well. i.e. suck the tap, like siphoning petrol without the buzz!! The pump won't do it on its own with no water in the system. Only needs done once and it should then be fine as long as there is water in your tank.

The pump fitted to autosleepers can run without priming..as does mine, when the level drops too low just refill and away you go  8)

The control panel didn't have anything on it other than the switches etc. We found the pump, it's in the tank. But with further investigation we've found out that the water hose has snapped off the bottom of the tank!! Plus after taking the control panel off we found that the fuse for the water has come away from the connector, but that can easily be soldered!! We've now got to take the tank off, the bolts are all rusty though!! So thanks for all your help & advice so far.... :)
