OK, I c@cked up! I fitted a new sump gasket when I had the engine out. It's now pee-ing oil out. I obviously didn't fit it right. I think there was an alternative gasket (might have got this wrong). Mine is rubber (ish). The leak is around the front, ie the pulley end. Also a slight leak from clutch end but I suspect this is the sump gasket as well.
So, are there any tips out there (apart from book it into a proper garage) for the fitting of a gasket. Any common problems? It was a decent gasket set, not a cheapo.
If I get the oil leak sorted I only have the pump timing to sort (well, son has) and then Yippeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm there.

Dear Meggles, if you didn't use it in the first place get hold of some of this stuff and use it liberally adjacent to any casing joint or radius. for the rest of the gasket just a skim should do to cover.....And most important of all don't over tighten the securing bolts....

Dear Fritz, thanks for that. I use RTV sealant very often but I thought that a rubber (sort of) gasket wouldn't need it!
