I thought it was supposed to be the Syncro specific bits that were problematic!

Just go through the symptoms again in minute detail, and post them here.
It will be something silly.
Someone will know.
Can always go to a DG carb setup. But the DJ runs very well, when it does.
Have I said borrow an ecu. They can get theyellow light of death, and on american forums it is a known fix to re mount the ecu upside down to change and close minute stress fractures.

Don't burn it, sell it to me cheap, as a project!
Ever get your RnR bed sorted.
Have tou done full service (all filters, plugs, leads?) You'll just have to replace/swap-over every item in turn.
I had problems with fuel supply after engine rebuild but after a day of pissing about, swapping this, replacing that, I somehow (still don't know exactly what it was) sorted it out, might of been just a loose connection somewhere.
Good luck.

it'd be nice, but I reckon that might work out more grief and cost than driving up to one of the "known" T25 specialists and thowing tenners at them until it was fixed!!
Did get offered a scooby lump from a Legacy the other day, but when I asked which engine they never got back with an answer.

Take it you don't mean a fire of burning bus then!!! I am now sitting in front of the old log burner and considerably more relaxed about the whole thing now. SHame 'cos we were supposed to be going to Brighton for Christmas in it, but looks like we'll have to squeeze into the car instead....knew we should have bought smaller presents for people, oh well you live and learn
