Hi all , got back last night from a camping trip in looe cornwall Unfortunately my silencer went big time on the way back and split all the way down the seam, i think it must have back fired and some how got blocked and thats why it went, anyway it very slowly and noisily and fumey we made it home. I spent today trying to get a back box and have had no luck, does anyone know where i can get one to fit my self that won't cost the earth? i live in north devon. thanks steve...

Dont know how long it would take to get in though as it looks like it's a back order jobbie.

Thanks, they have no stock oh well will have to keep searching, wonder if any sort of beetle one will fit or after market jobby. I have just removed it and the whole seam has gone, large hole and it has cooked the paint work under the bumper.

Lot of things you could fit, just a case of welding up a flange to match whatever you're fitting to existing pipework

its same as aircool system from way back to Variants (T3/T412 etc)

Early Silencer only 025-251-053/B, £94.96, Back Order, cheapest option,
if you have a tail pipe.

Check it's for yours - I'm diesel so don't know anything about your type. I've used them for my rear box and down pipe - no complaints yet.

bw aware you may have to modify it or have it modified the ones from just kampers had to have a modification a bit off the old exhaust needed to be welded on

Those wont fit a CT.. totally different system fitted to CT/CZ 1. 6 air cooled...

Did you mean the Ebay one or the vw heritage one ? have not ordered yet....

the ebay one will fit and it's a good price too - dunno how long it would last for though.....
