Subaru Upgrade Kit?

Upgrade kit is available from this seller but has anyone used one or dealt with them?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 3DWatching

There are additional items to be purchased from RJES but rather than buy a donor car would it be sensible to purchase an engine and the offered parts in a kit form like this? I would be happy with the 2 ltr given that I just want an engine that is reliable and free from spare parts availabilty issues and I just tootle along at 55mph anyway.

Ask Richard as they are quoting his name.

I am pretty sure Grade A subaru are who Richard recomends, as he has had a lot of dealings with them and they understand whats required for the kit..

The 2L is a good engine.. yes bigger can be better, but I have a leggy 2L estate and its a cracking little engine.. and mine is the supposedly later (classic) 116bhp one.. oh and it has 165k miles on it...

I saw the post on ebay and to be honest laughed, they say its a kit but am i wrong in thinking its just a complete engine with ancillaries? Thats not what i class as a kit.

What I think is being offered is the convenience of having all the parts that you would normally need to remove from the donor car without the hassle of actually removing the items and disposing of the vehicle afterwards (which would suit me TBH).

I live a mile from Grade A and have a grade A engine in my van.

They are very helpful and cant recommend them enough.

After sales................

Brilliant, they swapped many components to trouble shoot a problem that wasn't their doing.

They do need to lighten up on the phone, but if you have an infinite number of council house/ subaru owners on the phone than I guess your bound to be crabby?
