We (us and LHD) were on the seatown beach last month , big pebbly beach , good mackerel fishing too ,
we didn't stay at seatown campsite cos it looked pricey , we stayed at Penn farm which is only a few miles away :ok and a tenner a night

Probably a bit late, but yes we stayed there bank holiday weekend. It's very very windy, but great views of the sea!
The road in is a little narrow and hairy, but the toilets and showers were free and clean, as was the hair dryer, bonus!

Seatown..is brill, but a little bit expensive. But you get an excellent place for walks, up Golden Cap & thru the woods, and sections of the South Coast Path. & beach fishing.

The Anchor Pub serves good grub & usually have live music at weekends.

Its easy to miss when you drive thru Charmouth, there is a tiny sign & narrow lane down to the beach.

We have been going there since I was a kid. When my kids where small, 5 of us went there in an MGB GT with one of those Eskimo inflatable tents, & it used to go down & invert itself & fill with rain water..twas so funny..

But if you are passing that way its worth a stop...campsite has a small shop & there is a tiny "Gorreverthin" shop in the village of Charmouth which you can walk to, up a small lane at the back of the campsite, so no need to use the access road.

The walk up Golden Cap, is good for the legs & lungs, I used to jog up it when I was younger, but I can still wheeze up it at 61...

Its worth a stopover.

Kev..
