Hi Guys, we,ve just bought a 1987 Holdsworth vision with 104500 miles on it. We bought it for £4300. It is in good condition body wise, it is a 1900cc water cooled. Is this a reasonable price? Cheers!

its about the going rate if the body work is in good condition it will last you for years if you look after it. get out there and enjoy ed.

prices vary so much. 4 berth / 2 berth can make a difference. Years MOT? Body work important. But I'm not convinced whether you pay 2k or 7k your not guaranteed it's not going to break down in 6months!! These are old babies.

But worth every penny as long as you use it.

They are expensive though. When I was looking in the spring I was mainly looking at 4k mark. But in the end bought one for 2.4k. But it is a rust bucket, and I've spent £350 already on the engine as it kept breaking down (ended up being carbeurettors). Prob spend another few hundred this winter sorting rust patches / welding. Often question whether I should have spent the extra money at the start off rather than this way. But there was something about my one - it had an edge and a character - and besides I am going to decorate it with my own fancy paintwork!!

Hmmm I'm wondering what other 22 year old vans are selling for £4000 odd , Bedford? Ford? Talbot? Merc? Vauxhall?... I don't see any, do you?
How on earth do you value a vehicle this old, There's nothing to compare it to, it's not an icon of an era, more the last gasp of rear engined VW's.

So it's worth what your willing to pay and plenty will pay, because there's NOTHING that comes close to this perfectly proportioned campervan.
So I guess we set the price, and that price you paid, is average for a UK converted van.

Before I got into VWs I was looking at Talbot Express AutoSleepers and they were easily £6k for a facelifted one in average-nice condition, the thing that really put me off though was the bed layout which may be similar on your Holdsworth and the floor-pan on the Talbot.

I would say that if its half decent and you keep on top of the rusty seam problems that you will get if you haven't already then you're onto a winner and sure to rise in value in time. I quite like the Holdsworth conversion even though I'm not mad on any conversion that uses the front seats as part of the bed I like the fact that its a bit different to other T25 conversions and the rear area is quite nice and I like the shape of the high-top, tell me, is your inner roof standard height inside above the front seats with storage above or is it as high as the high-top roof?

Better still, get some pics up (inc loads of the inside) please please please!

What part of Plymouth are you to you janner? I'll have to look out for you when I'm on my way to Plymstock.

Hi there, My van has standing room all the way through from front to back but I have 3 pannels above the driver's cab which click into place to make a double bed, ideal for the kids. I will get some pics on soon and I live in Kings Tamerton! Cheers!

Bought a Holdsworth Vision at the start of the year, superb piece of kit. Really like the layout as can use kitchen while rest of the family chill in the seating area. We also have boards in the top and sleep 2 kids up there.
