webber carb

Hello all

Just signed up and have a question if someone could help please. My b reg 1900 dg engined t25 has a worn carb..i can get it re-conned but i'm in two minds to put the webber on it, has anyone done this and have they got any feed back on fuel consumption, power etc Thank you

Personally I'd be getting hold of a (good) used standard fitment carb to compare performance with what you have..........The Webber is an alternative but a bloody expensive alternative with little or no gain in fuel consumption and performance.

I've put a weber on mine and found it too be quite good performance wise but no better on fuel consumption but there my pierburg had probably had it.
I was lucky that I didn't have to pay for the weber I would of been very disappointed if I'd paid £260 for it, which is what they are new.
If you can get one cheap try it out otherwise I'd be looking at getting a good second hand pierburg from ebay about £20

If you are going to lpg a webbered DG then the adapter plate lifts the carb higher than the peiburg and can make fitting the gas ring problematic. I found no difference in running between a 17 year old pieburg and a brand new webber. Go second hand.
