fuel not getting to the carbs using electric feul pump and regulator i drove it for about 15 mins and it started backfiring through the carbs
i have replaced the fuel line from the tank with 8mm and blocked off the passenger side
as a test we put an inline fuel filter to each carb (after the fuel pump) there is no fuel but when i take the line off the filter there is fuel
it is now totally doin my head in

anyone any suggestions

why put extra fuel filters on.they will only restrict the flow.not improve it.and what is the thinking behind blocking the passenger side off.if it wasn't needed vw wouldn't of used it surely.and iirc the fuel line should be 6mm

I think the problem may not be with the pump or regulator. The reason no fuel is moving towards the carbs is because they could already be full.
I would suspect something has contaminated the carbs and caused a blockage, thats why it's backfiring due to a lean mixture. Probably disturbing the fuel lines/system has moved some dirt around and got into the carbs.
Only thing I can think of!

the fuel filters were put on to prove a point that there was not enough fuel going to the carbs
when fitting dells you block the other side of the tank off as it`s not needed
also the dells have 8mm fitting for the fuel line
will double check the carbs but they have been setup using gauges

also is a fairly new fuel tank

it`s still not working though lol

we think it might be a faulty regulator gonna change it with Image this cuts the need for the filter as you can see the fuel in the regulator bowel

Putting the fuel filters after the pump has been known to cause fueling issues to the carb/s. Its better to fit a filter between the tank and the pump so the pump is sucking fuel not pushing it through the filter.
