i`ve just swapped the front diffs over from my doka to the 16" and i noticed that on the doka there is a vacuum valve thats fitted to the bulkhead behind the switch panel and a electic thingy ma bob wrapped in foam related to the front diff lock i think.
can anyone elaborate as to what they are, and what they do please.
thanks lee.

the vacuum switch and circuit are there to make the front locker indicator lamp flash when you pull the front difflock switch, before it engages, as an idiot warning, often the circuit doesn't work so the lamp doesn't flash and nothing happens until it engages and the lamp goes on; given the need to rotate the knob before it will pull out we have enough protection against idiot moments, but be aware of little fingers esp if small persons sit in the front

the light will work when the circuit is completed by the switch, though there may be a requirement to wire across the empty socket I don't know, it's simple enough to trace the circuit it's only a couple of wires eh

SO where does the round vacuum / electric module hose go to ? I understand where the two connectors go to I think . There were two loose brown wires there which makes sense. But I can find nothing of where vacuum line fits.

vac line fits in to a t section on the front diff lock switch. the "pull lock on" line for the front diff lock.
