I know this sounds like a daft question - but does anyone know the length of a standard rear heavy duty spring compared to a Syncro spring please?
The reason behind this being I have a new spring here - which I would like to offer out to anyone who is thinking of buying a pair and could save themselves a load of money on one of them, but not sure which it is.
I originally bought it as a heavy duty one from Just Kampers for about £80 odd, then when we went to fit them, they were different lengths. Garage ended up getting another from another source (as JK o/s) and now I have a surplus one - but not entirely convinced which it is!!
I don't want to put it on offer with the wrong description

it should have a blob/blobs of paint on it.what colour is it/are they?

You should always buy and fit springs in axle pairs.
There are a lot of variants of the rear spring, as noted they are colour coded from the factory but not all aftermarket suppliers use the same codes, if any.

Now there's a story! I bought a pair from Just Kampers - they were fitted by local garage who reversed it out of garage and noticed van tilting - they took both off again, and one was longeer than the other!! They thought one was heavy duty and one maybe a syncro spring. Then re-ordered another heavy duty and got a matching pair to refit. However its been so long now, I can't remember what the one I have left is - I think it's a syncro but want to be sure.

Hi Rob
I had a good look at the spring today - well sort of - as its tucked away in back of shed - but couldn't see any paint blobs. Can you tell by the length of it - also I think there are some numbers printed on it but they are not very clear. I'll try and work out what they are, but any more advice will be appreciated

the numbers will do as they correspond to the paint code, syncro is 2 green, but I can't remember the numbers, have one in stores I can check later in the week
