Hi Peeps

I'm in the process of trying to imporve the bodywork on the Cramper & I'm gonna need to remove the rear Transporter badge & the VW emblem

Does anyone know how they come off?
Do they break when doing so?

Any & all advice welcome, many thanks

Steve

they just pull off, but weren't designed to be pulled of so may break.
There are three little tangs on the back of the badge which go into plastic caps which fit in holes in the door skin, on the vw badge there's two I think in the middle, so small pry bar required, ideally as close to the tangs as possible,

As Aiden suggests. I used a wood chisel slipped down between the badges and the tailgate and gently levered them off. the plastic lugs then just push out from the inside.

I just de-badged my van this weekend. If you remove the interior liner (and any insulation) you can push the lugs out from the inside with the end of a screw driver. Pretty much guarantees them coming off in one piece.

Hi All,

I've read this thread and I think this means that once the badges at the back are removed, there are holes in the bodywork - is that right, please?

Thanks,
Stu

There's holes but they have plastic clips in them that hold onto the posts on the badge.
:ok

Thanks. I was considering a clean, badgeless rear, but if there are holes that is the end of that!

Cheers,
Stu
