Hi All,

I purchased my beautiful T25 westy 5 months ago. The ignition on the fridge has stopped working so unable to use it on gas. Not sure if its the ignitor that needs replacing. if it is do i have to remove the whole fridge to get to it? And also where can i purchase one from?
Going away in a week....can anyone help?

My thoughts from a novice......Is there enough gas to run the fridge, is the battery charged enough to spark - can you hear it sparking?

firstly add your location to your info, there may be someone local or someone may know of a fridge repairer in your area!
if its the ignition you will need to remove the fridge, easy to do and covered on past posts both here and the brickyard
such as http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/fridg ... 38998.html

I took my fridge to a caravan shop when it broke down

Hi

The ignitor burnt out on my firdge in the middle of the night and filled the van with smoke. Needless to say I now have a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm!!

If the fridge is not clicking when selected I would put a volt meter on the terminals of the ignitor to see if it is getting power and how much.

I had to buy a new ignitor from a camping shop as I was desperate and cost around £65!!

Good luck

Hi,
Have you moved or pulled the fridge or anything around it? It happened to me that I moved some things from behind the fridge and pulled out the connection to the ignitor by accident. Pulled the fridge out and saw the loose cable, reconnected it and done!

Hope this helps.

Dan
