Replacing high top with pop top - anyone done it?

We've got a rather battered Leisuredrive high top on Bluebell at the mo. We're thinking of some moderate pimping and have considered going for one of those westie-a-like poptops they're flogging on justkampers.
Any boffins out there able to advise whether this is an impossible pipe dream, bearing in mind how our tin top has already been cut for the high top, please?

Might be worth dropping Lance a PM.
He makes a good Westy poptop copy so should be able to help

Think the JK Westy clones are Lances work. Bit more to it than dropping `em on and cutting a big `ole to climb through, the correct factory Westy top bunk was made to sit on a flat roof pressing, that`s what makes a Westy bodyshell unique, the roof pressing was flat as made by the VW factory. Lances roof conversions have a strengthening aperture piece to reinforce the roof section you cut out, and some sort of adapter piece to convert the curved roof section of a panel van into a flat section to add the flat top bed boards. Plenty of fotos about of people doing it / done it (probably on Brickyard)
