Hi everyone,

I have recently been doing a lot of work on my T25 Engine (Golf Gti KJet) and am having trouble with the coolant system.

At first I suspected a faulty water pump, replaced and no joy. I noticed the radiator was leaking slightly and as it had been sat still for 5 years thought might as well replace. No joy.

Basically the pump must be working as the 2 hoses goign to the heater unit are hot so working fine, and i know all the other hoses are not blocked as I have run a hose through them and they are clear. But the

Now the van is on a very slight downward drive, ie the front is lower. In the manuel it says raise the front 400 mm. Could this be causing an air lock preventing the coolant being passed around the radiator?

What's the problem?!

There's a bleed screw at the top of the radiator so you can make sure there is no air in it. Full bleeding instructions here:
