hi there guys & girls,
what's the best methods and products for cleaning up a set of wolfies?
There's no damage on them, i think they're gonna shine pretty nice, just dirty and very light corrosion on one of them.
what's open to me, sandblasting, turtle wax acid products, wonder wheels, auto glym?
cheers!

if they're not scratched, then a refurb perhaps is a but harsh
i'd try hot soapy water, dry them off, then good old fashioned elbow grease with mothers polish, and i mean good hard rubbing, not wax on wax off malarky
that should remove the crap off them
any sort of wheel acid, if they're not lacquered will justdestroy the surface, and if they are lacquered could well get under it and make a right mess

Hiya,
Wonderwheels is brilliant at cleaning but VERY corrosive. One of my mates has an R1 bike, spent a fortune on getting the wheels painted and he is a BIG fan of straighforward WD40 and WILL NOT use wonderwheels.................................

I recently done the alloys on my car with a can of aerosol stuff from a 99p shop. It was a white foam that you leave for 30 seconds then brush off with a brush from a dustpan and brush then rinse. It worked really well. Can't remember the name of it and have thrown away the empty can now.

Wonderwheels works well on painted/laquerd surfaces, does n ot like bare alloy/flaky paint etc...
hot soapy water, stiff brush... alloy to dry and use T cut on grimey paint/slightly corroded alloy, but for better finish on bare alloy "Autosol" alloy and chrome polish and a few old "terry towel" type socks...
Heavy corrosion should be brushed off with a brass or bronze wire brush (the small ones for "brushed leather" shoe's work well) or somr fine wet and dry with soapy water...
