morning all

I started the interior re-fit yesterday (about time too  ) - and started off by removing the retro-fitted dash tidy, and look what was lurking below! Is this normal :?:

was this a normal feature for an '85 van derived villa 3?? Theres only 1 speaker in the dash, so mono only. Previous owners have fitted speakers in the doors and a couple behind the seats which I plan to move to the back of the bus. Look out for a my second post in a minute relating to the unidentified mass of wiring at the back of my radio.

Ta for now

Whats really criminal is the holes made in the dash by a screwed-in dash tidy. Double-sided tape and a couple of thick plastic black seed trays (3 for a pound in pound shops), lined with anti-slip matting is less damaging and serves the same good job for next to nothing. Learnt this from my beetling days when there were loads of aftermarket dash attachments that nearly all involved drilling holes - no no no. Once the holes are drilled, they're almost impossible to hide at a later date.

Never had a passenger yet thats realised its a seed tray and the dash is unmarked underneath. :D
