Split charging

I have read the wiki and it mentions stuff to do with two sockets on cars with a tow hook.

My van has two sockets on the back, does this mean somewhere it has a split charging system already fitted and I just need to find where to take it off to charge a leisure battery?

Cheers,

Nick

no, this means your towbar has two sockets......it may have had a a split charge system fitted, it may not have had, it could have been stolen, lost in the post, zapped up by zygons or a cunning magic trick.........

have a look see....you need to be looking for a rellay, or a box with some fuses in

however, if it were me, i'd be doin a fresh split charge system, cos the bits are under a tenner, and you know the wiring is good and short free

i think,( which is rare,) that the relay was about £3, and the wire about the same, ( get 30 amp) the two battery clamps were £0.99p each
if you get stuck on where on the alt. to get the power from, i'll take a photo and bang it on 'ere
